MASH-certified sober homes are governed by standards that address safety from an administrative, operational, property, and “good neighbor” perspective. The Center for Community Recovery Innovations, Inc., issues an annual Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit projects for funding. The proposals that are selected need to meet CCRI’s current priorities and eligibility categories. The grants are typically used as one-time gap funding for capital projects that increase or improve the stock of affordable sober housing in Massachusetts.

Court users who need sober housing or transportation support must have an open case or have court involvement that is current or within the past year at a Project NORTH court. Individuals are required to meet with a Navigator for an in-person intake to ensure that they meet the sober housing and transportation eligibility requirements.

When finding a sober living home, it can help to explore your network. Not all homes offer the same things, so finding one by word of mouth can be helpful. If you have recently completed treatment, the staff can usually provide referrals to local, trustworthy sober living homes. Boston is a key city in Massachusetts, celebrated for its thriving Sober House network and dedication to supporting individuals recovering from substance use challenges. From sober houses to recovery homes, the city offers a variety of safe spaces designed to guide residents toward lasting sobriety. (f) The bureau shall prepare, publish and disseminate a list of alcohol and drug free housing certified pursuant to this section; provided, however, that the list shall be updated bimonthly. The list shall be disseminated to the director of the division of drug rehabilitation and to each state agency or vendor with a statewide contract that provides substance use disorder treatment services. The commissioner of probation shall inform all district and superior court probation officers and the chief justice of the trial court shall inform all district and superior court judges on how to access the list.

Harrison Sober House

Applicants must be over 18 years old and haven’t used drugs or alcohol within 14 days. Guests are ofter referred from treatment or other clinical or judicial settings, but many guests self-refer amphetamine addiction treatment to our homes. Seasonal offerings like rowing, kayaking, and sailing, along with tradition holistic pursuits, like massage, Reiki, Tai-Chi, Qigong and meditation are all designed to bring joy back into a person’s life.

Our community consists of men who have found healing in the same neighborhoods where our homes are located. Recognizing that recovery is not one size fits all, we use our experiences to help residents navigate their unique journeys and discover what best supports their goals. Self Esteem Boston Educational Institute, $23,600Grant funds will help support new resiliency and recovery support services, and job-readiness skills for women in recovery in Boston, Lynn and Springfield.
